The Public Authority for Manpower is currently engaged in discussions regarding the regulation of the labor market and the recruitment of foreign workers. These discussions primarily focus on proposals related to the recruitment of workers in technical professions. One of the proposals under consideration suggests that no new work permits should be issued without prior approval of academic certificates, ratification, and equivalency from official authorities and Kuwaiti embassies abroad. Additionally, the proposal suggests the inclusion of an accredited professional experience certificate, approved by the relevant authorities, for each profession. The required professional experience may vary, with a minimum of 3 years for certain professions and up to 5 years for others.
