Manama: Bahrain recorded a significant 22% increase in non-oil exports in April 2025, reaching a total value of BD338 million ($896.59 million), compared to BD277 million in April 2024.
Non-oil imports also saw a notable rise, growing by 20% to BD575 million. China was the top import partner, contributing BD64 million (11%), followed by Australia with BD55 million (10%) and the UAE with BD49 million (9%). Iron ore and concentrates were among the major import commodities.
Saudi Arabia emerged as the top destination for Bahrain’s non-oil exports, accounting for BD81 million (24%), followed by the United States with BD35 million (10%) and the UAE with BD32 million (9%). Among the most exported products were unwrought aluminum alloys.
Turbo-jets topped the list of re-exported goods, valued at BD7.2 million (10.1%). The trade figures highlight Bahrain’s growing role in regional and global non-oil trade markets.
