Doha: The Qatari Ministry of Labour has introduced the first phase of its new digital recruitment platform, Ouqoul, aimed at helping private sector companies hire qualified university graduates more efficiently. The platform is part of a wider initiative to digitalize recruitment services and tap into emerging local talent.
Developed in collaboration with Google Cloud and Manai InfoTech, the platform leverages advanced technology to improve efficiency and trust in employment-related programs. Ouqoul primarily focuses on the private sector and aims to offer high-quality job opportunities to qualified expatriates while meeting the evolving demands of Qatar's labor market.
Key features include allowing private companies to upload job vacancies in PDF format or create them directly within the platform. A standout feature is an AI chatbot that assists employers in crafting accurate and tailored job descriptions using advanced language processing and real-time feedback.
This innovation helps save time and attract suitable candidates, making the recruitment process more streamlined. Assistant Undersecretary Hamad Al-Dalmook called the launch a milestone in connecting Qatari university graduates with private sector opportunities.
Private sector companies can access the platform using a Signature Authorization Card or Public Relations Officer (PRO) Card via the Tawtheeq National Authentication System (NAS).
The second phase, which will allow university graduates to register and build profiles, will soon be announced. Only alumni from Qatari universities that have formal partnerships with the platform will be eligible to participate.
