Bahrain bans heavy trucks on King Hamad Highway during peak hours from September 1

Manama: Starting September 1, Bahrain’s General Directorate of Traffic will ban heavy vehicles over 3 tonnes on King Hamad Highway during rush hours — 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. The move aims to ease congestion and enhance road safety.
Only emergency vehicles and licensed public service vehicles are exempt from this rule. Authorities urge all companies and drivers to comply with the new timings to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow.
