In a move to enrich the spiritual journey of pilgrims, Saudi Arabia has inaugurated the first multilingual awareness center in the Saudi Corridor of the Grand Mosque. The initiative, led by the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, marks a significant step toward improving religious education and services for international visitors.
The center distributes translated copies of the Quran, guides on Hajj and Umrah, and informative brochures on Islamic faith, values of moderation, and spiritual and intellectual safety. It is strategically located in an area named in recognition of the Kingdom’s major contributions to mosque development in 2022.
Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais, President of Religious Affairs, emphasized that the Saudi Corridor is more than a physical structure — it represents Islam’s core principles of tolerance, balance, and moderation.
This is the first of over 100 multilingual awareness centers planned to be established around the Grand Mosque during this Hajj season. The initiative is part of a broader action plan to enhance the cultural, spiritual, and educational dimensions of the pilgrimage.
