Riyadh: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has clarified the procedures pilgrims must follow if they lose their Nusuk Hajj ID card during the pilgrimage. This card is a crucial document that verifies the identity and legal status of pilgrims, both foreign and domestic.
In the event of a lost Nusuk card, pilgrims are advised to take the following steps:
Immediately inform their group leader
Use the digital version of the card for identification when moving between locations
Report the loss to the nearest security officer
Pilgrims can also call the helpline number 1966 or visit any of the "Guests of God Care Center" or "Nusuk Care Center" branches near the Grand Mosque in Mecca to request assistance or a replacement.
The Nusuk card contains important information such as the pilgrim’s identity, location details, contact for the service provider, and medical records — helping ensure proper care in emergencies and preventing cases of missing individuals.
Foreign pilgrims will receive the Nusuk card upon arrival in Saudi Arabia, while domestic pilgrims must collect theirs from service companies before Hajj begins. Carrying this card at all times during the pilgrimage is mandatory.
