Sharjah Prepares Spectacular New Year Celebrations with Fireworks, Beach Events & Desert Experiences

  • 18/12/2025

Sharjah is set to welcome 2025 with vibrant New Year celebrations featuring fireworks, artistic performances, and unique experiential events across the emirate. Organized jointly by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) and the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, festivities will be held at multiple locations, including Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Hira Beach, and Khorfakkan Beach. Each venue will offer a 10-minute fireworks display, complemented by fountain shows, live entertainment, and dining options.

For a closer view of the Al Majaz fireworks, a special 45-minute boat trip across Khalid Lake will be available, with 12 boats accommodating 10 passengers each. Advanced booking is required for the cruise, which runs from 11:30 PM to 12:15 AM. Meanwhile, Al Noor Island will provide a quieter, family-friendly setting with limited seating on sand dunes overlooking the fireworks—only 120 guests will be permitted, ensuring an intimate atmosphere.

Those looking to celebrate away from the city can opt for the “New Year Under the Stars” package at Mleiha National Park. The overnight desert experience includes tent accommodation, stargazing, music, camel rides, and archery, running from the evening of December 31 until dawn. This offering caters to visitors seeking a blend of adventure and tranquility amidst Sharjah’s natural landscapes.

To manage crowds and enhance visitor experience, authorities encourage advance bookings through the official website discovershurooq.ae. With varied celebrations ranging from beachfront fireworks to desert camping and serene island gatherings, Sharjah aims to provide memorable New Year’s Eve options for residents and tourists alike.
