Sharjah Police successfully contained a fire that broke out at a used auto parts store in Industrial Area 10, with no injuries reported. The operation was carried out in collaboration with Sharjah Civil Defense and other emergency units.
Brigadier General Omar Al Ghazal, Director General of Operations and Security Support and Head of the Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Team, confirmed that teams acted quickly, forming a joint field operation that helped contain the blaze efficiently.
Sharjah Civil Defense teams arrived within just eight minutes of the alert and are continuing cooling operations to prevent any reignition. Brigadier Saeed Obaid Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director General of Sharjah Civil Defense, emphasized that protecting lives and nearby property was their top priority.
Nearby gas lines were shut down as a precaution in coordination with the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA), and neighboring units were inspected for any further risks.
Safety protocols were strictly followed to protect both the public and emergency personnel. Authorities are now assessing property damage and have launched a technical investigation to determine the fire's cause.
Sharjah Police extended their gratitude to civil defense teams from Dubai, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain, as well as Sharjah Municipality, SEWA, the National Ambulance, and Al Marwan Company for their coordinated support, highlighting the effectiveness of Sharjah’s emergency response system.
