The UAE’s humanitarian mission, Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, has played a crucial role in preventing the collapse of Gaza’s healthcare system amid ongoing conflict. Since December 2023, an Emirati field hospital inside Gaza has treated over 51,000 people, offering emergency surgeries, trauma care, and even prosthetic support for amputees. Staffed by specialized doctors and volunteers, the 200-bed facility offers wide-ranging medical services.
In February 2024, the UAE expanded its aid by launching a floating hospital near Al Arish, Egypt. Equipped with 100 beds, ICU units, surgical suites, and a pharmacy, it had treated more than 10,000 cases by April 2025.
In a broader medical evacuation effort, 1,000 cancer patients and 1,000 children with their families have been brought to the UAE for long-term treatment. As of May, more than 2,600 people had received care in Emirati hospitals.
Over 500 days of continued operation, the UAE has delivered more than 1,200 tons of medical aid to Gaza, including ambulances, dialysis machines, ventilators, and other vital equipment. A massive vaccination drive has protected over 640,000 children from polio.
Additionally, the UAE has sent over 250 tons of WHO medical supplies via Dubai Humanitarian and funded infrastructure upgrades like clean water projects and sewage repairs to reduce disease outbreaks.
These efforts underline the UAE’s deep humanitarian commitment, ensuring continued healthcare access for Palestinians even in crisis.
