Kuwait: Lulu Hypermarket, one of the leading retail chains in the region, has officially launched its eagerly awaited Indian Mango Festival at its AlRai branch on July 23. This special event celebrates India’s iconic summer fruit, bringing the finest varieties straight from India to Kuwait’s mango lovers.
The inauguration was attended by H.E. Dr. Adarsh Swaika, India’s Ambassador to Kuwait, along with senior diplomats and officials from India’s Agriculture & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). Lulu Kuwait’s senior management team joined the ceremony, highlighting Lulu’s commitment to providing top-quality Indian produce to the local market.
The festival features six premium mango varieties — Amrapali, Fazli, Mallika, Langra, Chausa, and Dusheri — each known for its unique flavor, fragrance, and juicy texture. The AlRai store has been transformed into a mango paradise, with colorful displays, free tasting counters, and lively decorations capturing the spirit of India’s mango season.
Customers can sample the fruit before buying and explore a special food section showcasing a variety of mango-inspired treats. Highlights include fresh mango smoothies and juices, traditional Indian sweets, pickles, chutneys, gourmet dishes, and even mango cakes and pastries.
This festival is part of Lulu’s ongoing efforts to promote Indian agricultural exports and further boost Indo-Kuwaiti trade ties, especially in fresh produce. The Indian Mango Festival is exclusive to the Lulu AlRai outlet, so shoppers are encouraged to visit soon to enjoy the best of India’s seasonal mango delights.
