Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced that intensive security campaigns carried out by the General Department for Drug Control have led to the arrest of 31 suspects, including citizens, Arab and Asian residents, and stateless individuals.
The raids resulted in the seizure of large quantities of narcotics: approximately 7.1 kg of hashish, 5.35 kg of shabu, 3.8 kg of marijuana, 2.1 kg of heroin, 750 grams of chemicals, 273 grams of cocaine, along with about 250 pieces of Lyrica powder, 500 ml of chemical oil, 25,000 Lyrica capsules, and 2,000 psychotropic pills.
Authorities also confiscated eight firearms, live ammunition, 17 sensitive scales, and numerous empty bags used for drug packing. The arrested individuals and seized items have been referred to the Drugs and Alcohol Prosecution Office for further legal action.
The Ministry emphasized that these operations are part of ongoing efforts to target drug traffickers and dealers, pledging that security campaigns will continue to protect society and maintain national security.
