Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has officially launched the new “Kuwait Visa” platform (https://kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw) under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef and the supervision of Acting Undersecretary Major General Ali Al-Adwani.
The platform allows eligible nationalities to apply online for four types of visit visas — Tourist, Business, Family, and Government — in line with the Ministry’s regulations and residency guidelines.
Tourist Visa: For leisure visits, valid for three months from entry.
Business Visa: For official business trips, valid for one month.
Family Visa: For close relatives visiting resident family members, valid for one month.
Government Visa: For official government delegations and diplomatic missions, valid for one month.
The Ministry clarified that the online visa is not available to Indian nationals who are not residents of GCC countries.
All visas are subject to strict security checks and require valid ID documentation for both visitors and sponsors. The Ministry also warned of strict penalties for overstays or violations.
This digital platform is part of Kuwait’s broader strategy to strengthen its position as a hub for tourism and business, while simplifying family visits and official missions.
