Dubai: The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) has announced the return of the Dubai T100 Triathlon Weekend, set to run from November 13 to 16, 2025, promising an even bigger and more inclusive event than its debut edition.

Organized in partnership with the Professional Triathletes Organization (PTO), the four-day sporting spectacle will once again see the world’s top triathletes compete alongside thousands of amateur participants across various race categories, including the signature 100km distance (2km swim, 80km bike, 18km run) and the shorter Sprint distance (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run).

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) – part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) – highlighted the strategic importance of the T100 Triathlon, saying: “Our continued commitment to hosting world-class sporting events like the Dubai T100 aligns perfectly with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which aims to position Dubai as a global hub for business and leisure. Following the success of the 2024 edition, we expect the 2025 event to attract global attention, boost local tourism, and showcase Dubai’s vibrant lifestyle offerings to the world.”

Eisa Sharif, Director of Sports Events at the Dubai Sports Council, added that Dubai’s proven track record of hosting major triathlons and world-class sports events will ensure the T100 continues to grow in scale and impact.

“Last year’s Dubai T100 was a standout success, attracting Olympic champions and thousands of amateur athletes. The races supported the Dubai Fitness Challenge, motivating residents and visitors to embrace an active lifestyle. For 2025, we’re expanding the event further with a new Schools Event and Corporate Relay, ensuring wider community participation and reinforcing our vision of encouraging fitness for everyone,” said Sharif.

Nearly 10,000 amateur athletes took part in the 2024 edition, which also featured the popular 5km Music Run welcoming families, children, and people of all fitness levels in line with the Dubai Fitness Challenge’s goal of 30 minutes of daily activity for 30 days.

Sam Renouf, CEO of the PTO, described Dubai as one of the key highlights on the T100 World Tour, adding: “The Dubai T100 has quickly become a bucket-list race. For 2025, we’re focused on growing participation and creating a true festival of swim, bike, and run at the iconic Meydan Racecourse.”

The Dubai T100 is part of a global triathlon circuit that has already visited Singapore, San Francisco, and Vancouver this year, with the next stop scheduled for London in August.

Reigning T100 World Champion Marten Van Riel (Belgium) currently leads the men’s rankings, while Swiss Olympian Julie Derron tops the women’s leaderboard in the Race To Qatar standings.
