Dubai: Dubai Police’s General Department of Traffic has strengthened efforts under the 2025 ‘Summer Without Accidents’ initiative, which runs until September 1 as part of the Ministry of Interior’s national road safety strategy.
During a press briefing at Address Sky View Hotel, Major General Al Ghaithi, Assistant Commandant for Operations Affairs, emphasized the importance of public safety as Dubai continues to grow, with more vehicles and road users than ever before. He stressed that collaboration with the community and private sector partners is vital to reduce accidents.
Brigadier Ahmad Al Naqbi, Chair of the Traffic Awareness and Safety Committee, warned that extreme summer temperatures raise the risk of tyre failures and urged drivers to inspect tyres regularly and choose high-quality replacements.
Zaid Alqufaidi, Executive Director of ENOC Retail, reaffirmed AutoPro’s commitment to supporting Dubai Police by educating motorists on proper car maintenance to prevent breakdowns and accidents during peak travel.
To acknowledge its contribution, Dubai Police presented AutoPro with a certificate of appreciation for backing the campaign and helping to spread awareness of road safety measures.
The campaign aims to remind drivers that simple precautions—like regular vehicle checks and careful driving—can make UAE roads safer for everyone during the hot summer months and beyond.
