Dubai Municipality and Parkin have signed an agreement to enhance the city’s public parking system, aligning with Dubai’s push for smart and sustainable urban solutions.

The Memorandum of Understanding, signed by HE Eng. Marwan Ahmed Bin Ghalita, Director General of Dubai Municipality, and Ahmed Hashem Bahrozyan, Chairman of Parkin’s Board, authorizes Parkin to manage select free public parking zones owned by the municipality. This adds to Parkin’s existing network of about 206,000 paid spaces across Dubai.

The partnership sets out to develop unified standards for using private plots for public parking, improve permit procedures, and introduce smart mobility solutions to boost efficiency.

Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the move will raise the quality of public services and back the city’s sustainability goals. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, emphasized that the collaboration supports Dubai’s strategy for smart, integrated mobility.

Parkin already uses advanced digital payment and intelligent parking management systems to streamline traffic flow and make parking more convenient for residents and visitors.

The agreement highlights Dubai’s commitment to modernizing urban infrastructure through strong public-private partnerships, ensuring the city remains a leader in smart urban planning and mobility.
