Dubai International Airport has claimed the top spot worldwide for food and retail offerings in the newly released 2025 AirHelp Score, while securing the 18th position overall among 250 airports across 68 countries. Abu Dhabi International Airport followed closely behind in 19th place, underscoring the UAE’s strong presence in global aviation.

The annual ranking, published by AirHelp, evaluates airports based on punctuality, customer feedback, and the quality of food and retail services. This year, eight airports from the Middle East made it into the top 20—up from just two last year—showcasing the region’s rapid progress in delivering high-quality airport experiences.

Cape Town International Airport in South Africa topped the overall list with the highest score of 8.57, while Doha’s Hamad International Airport ranked second globally and first in the Middle East with a score of 8.52. Riyadh’s King Khaled International Airport climbed to third place worldwide with a score of 8.47, and Muscat International Airport secured fifth place.

AirHelp CEO Tomasz Pawliszyn noted that the ranking empowers travelers to make better-informed choices by looking beyond ticket prices to factors like flight punctuality and airport services. Since 2015, AirHelp’s reports have guided passengers on what to expect at airports worldwide, helping them plan for smoother journeys and stay prepared for any travel disruptions.
