Nikhila Prabhakaran, a 36-year-old doctor from Neeleswaram, Kasaragod, has passed away in Kuwait due to kidney-related illness. She died this morning at Adan Hospital after undergoing treatment for the past 18 days. Nikhila, who previously worked at a private hospital in Jahra, had resigned due to her health condition.
Her husband, Vipin, is also a doctor working at Al Salam Hospital in Kuwait and hails from Thiruvananthapuram. The couple has a son, Vivaan, who is a Grade 5 student at Gulf Indian School. Nikhila is the daughter of businessman Prabhakaran from Fahaheel.
She was an active member of the Kasaragod Expatriates Association (KEA) Fahaheel Area Committee. KEA Kuwait has expressed condolences on her passing. Arrangements are being made to repatriate her body to India for the final rites.
