Kuwait has carried out death sentences against seven convicts at the Sulaibiya Prison Complex, including three citizens, two Iranian residents, and two Bangladeshi nationals. Five were convicted of murder charges while two faced drug trafficking sentences. The execution of an eighth defendant, a citizen convicted of murder, was postponed after obtaining a waiver from the victim's family days before the scheduled execution.

Informed sources from the Public Prosecution's Criminal Execution Department revealed that one executed convict's family had been unable to collect the required two million dinars blood money demanded by the victim's heirs. Despite requests for postponement until funds could be arranged, the execution proceeded without the waiver. Security measures for the executions involved coordination between the Criminal Execution Prosecution, Correctional Institutions Department, and Special Security Forces, with prison gates closing at 6:00 AM and procedures beginning at 8:00 AM.

The Correctional Institutions Administration had permitted daily family visits during the ten days preceding the execution and maintained the possibility of concessions until the execution morning. The executed individuals had been held in solitary confinement during this period prior to their sentences being carried out.
