flydubai has established a new interline agreement with TAROM, Romania's national flag carrier, enabling passengers to access 15 destinations through Bucharest International Airport. The partnership expands travel options between the UAE, Romania, and beyond, including connections to Athens, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Madrid, and Paris through TAROM's domestic and international network.
The Dubai-based carrier has operated flights to Bucharest since 2012 and has witnessed growing demand for travel to the Romanian market. This agreement strengthens Dubai's position as a global aviation hub while creating enhanced opportunities for trade, tourism, and business connections between the UAE and Romania. TAROM General Manager Costin Iordache has stated that the partnership aligns with the airline's strategy to improve connectivity between their operating cities and key travel destinations.
flydubai currently operates double daily flights from Dubai International to Bucharest and will add Iași as its second Romanian destination from September 19, 2025. The airline now serves over 135 destinations across 57 countries with a fleet of 93 Boeing 737 aircraft, having opened more than 100 previously underserved markets without direct air links to Dubai.
