Kuwait's Ministry of Education has implemented significant curriculum changes for primary education, reducing class duration from 45 to 40 minutes while introducing new subjects and increasing instructional time for core areas. The reforms include adding social studies for grades 1-3, increasing periods for grades 4-5, introducing a dedicated Arabic language period to enhance literacy skills, and incorporating computer science for early technology and programming exposure.

The ministry has emphasized that these changes aim to create a balanced educational environment that addresses learner needs while developing academic and practical skills. Educational specialists, principals, and school administrators have been directed to implement these amendments while ensuring teacher quotas do not exceed 18 classes weekly and maintaining fair distribution of teaching assignments.

Minister of Education Jalal Al-Tabtabaei has highlighted the ministry's commitment to preparing students with diverse skills in language, technology, and science from an early age. The ministry has completed final stages of printing new textbooks developed with field experts and remains open to feedback from educational professionals for continuous improvement.

The reforms include equipping schools with modern educational tools, science and computer laboratories, and intensive teacher training programs to ensure alignment with new curriculum requirements. These measures aim to create an attractive educational environment that supports creativity and innovation while placing learners at the center of the educational process.
