Kuwait’s Public Authority for Manpower, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, conducted a targeted inspection campaign in the Al-Mutlaa area, leading to the arrest of 168 illegal workers. The operation specifically focused on individuals violating the country’s labor and residency regulations, with 130 domestic workers and 38 private sector employees detained for non-compliance.
The joint committee emphasized that registered employers linked to these violations will undergo strict scrutiny to ensure adherence to Kuwait’s Labor Law. Those found facilitating illegal employment will face legal consequences, and all detained workers have been referred to the Residence Affairs Investigations Department for further action.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to safeguarding the labor market from illicit practices through continuous, intensified inspections across all regions. The campaign underscores Kuwait’s zero-tolerance policy toward illegal hiring and residency breaches, aiming to maintain fair and regulated employment conditions.
The Public Authority for Manpower urged business owners and individuals to strictly comply with labor laws and avoid employing unauthorized workers. This crackdown is part of broader efforts to deter violations, protect employer interests, and uphold the integrity of Kuwait’s workforce ecosystem.
