Kuwait: The Meteorology Department has forecast hot and humid weather across the country, with a chance of scattered rain—possibly thundery—and fog formation from Friday evening into early Saturday morning. Visibility may drop below 1,000 meters in certain areas.
Acting Director Dharar Al-Ali told KUNA that weather maps indicate Kuwait will be affected by an extension of the Indian monsoon depression, bringing a humid air mass, particularly in coastal areas. Southeasterly winds will range from 10 to 42 km/h, occasionally active, with sea waves between 2 and 5 feet.
Low and medium clouds, along with cumulus formations, are expected through Monday, with intermittent rainfall. Conditions will remain hot and humid during the day, especially near the coast, and hot to very humid at night.
Authorities advise drivers to exercise caution due to poor visibility, and urge asthma and allergy sufferers to wear masks when outdoors, especially in dusty and humid conditions. Residents are encouraged to monitor official weather updates via the department’s website, app, and social media channels.
