In response to the rising temperatures and concerns from parents, schools across the UAE have revised their working hours to ensure student safety while maintaining educational standards. The Ministry of Education announced that most schools will follow the new timing schedule starting Monday, April 28.
As per the revised schedule, classes will run from 7:15 AM to 1:35 PM, Monday to Thursday, and from 7:15 AM to 11:00 AM on Fridays. School gates will open at 7:00 AM and close at 7:30 AM. Parents must accompany students who arrive late. Authorities emphasized the importance of discipline and punctuality for academic performance.
The Ministry has also introduced significant reforms in the secondary education system. A new curriculum and an educational pathway system tailored to students' abilities have been implemented across both public and private schools.
To support these changes, academic counselors from public and private institutions will undergo a series of specialized training programs. These programs cover career guidance, personal counseling, and the use of modern tools to help students make informed academic and career decisions based on individual interests and job market demands.
Authorities have urged parents to support the revised schedule and cooperate to ensure student well-being and academic success.
